Trim Sleeve Spacer
I see many of these not installed on the Delta 1300 Series for some odd reason, they stabilize the chrome collar around the valve cartridge (eg: RP 46074). When installing a trim kit, make sure this piece is there! It prevents a metal rub between the Valve Handle and the Chrome Collar. So, if you install many of these you probably need to stock this because of other mindless plumbers tossing them to file 13.

Thank you for your question, Russ! This goes inside the sleeve and is used to help provide a more secure installation when the sleeve is slid forward on the valve. This can be necessary if the valve is installed further back in the wall. Please see page 9 of the Installation Instructions:

Is trim sleeve spacer installed inside the trim sleeve on single handle shower?
Trim sleeve is loose on the valve. Will installing trim sleeve tighten it?
Thank you for your question, Joe. This spacer will help keep the sleeve secure if sliding it back creates a gap between the handle and sleeve. Please make sure that the large o-ring (RP23336) is installed as well.

I have model 144984-BN, I replaced the seat washers and springs. I noticed the decorative sleeve to cover the stem slides back and forth between the handle, the manual mentions a spacer. I can purchase? Was there a cap to cover the screw?
